Exercise & Empowerment

We all have bad days…. that is just the way life goes.

They say that when you have a bad day you should do the one thing you don’t want to do… typically, that’s exercising. When I have a bad day I want to crack open a bottle of wine as {ASAP} but instead I force myself to exercise. Running is a great outlet for me to reduce my level of stress. I will also add a circuit of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) if I really want to blow off some steam. I feel so much better after I exercise and suddenly my worries don’t seem too overpowering.

You are empowering yourself when you spend just 15min or more exercising. Stop the bad self-talk and challenge yourself to exercise. See how many push-ups you can do in a minute or go for a mile run. Either way, challenge your body and your mind to push through the difficult time and exercise. You’ll release stress and feel so much better once you’re done, I promise!

We all know that exercise has a ton of advantages…but here are a few wonderful reminders:

  1. Reduces anxiety
  2. Reduces depression
  3. Improve alertness
  4. Overall improvement of cognitive function

Empower yourself! Don’t let the world show you it’s the boss… be the boss!

Cheers,
Jenn
