Meal prepping can be very useful if you are too busy to prepare your meals when you need them. All you need to meal prep for a week is a plan, a handful of food and a handful of time to cook a handful of meals at one time.
Personally, meal prepping a bunch of chicken and broccoli as my meals for lunch and dinner for a week doesn’t work for me. I am bored with the food by the second or third day, which results in me wanting to eat unhealthy. I’ve learned on my healthy eating journey that If I get bored with my food then I want to eat out or find a quick meal.
Although, I like to enjoy salads with lots of toppings. I found that meal prepping a few salads (with yummy toppings like edamame, sprouts & peppers) is super helpful during the work week. It’s an easy resource for me when I’m in the middle of a big project or between meetings.
While on your journey of eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle, it’s important to figure out what works for you. If you get bored with eating healthy, I don’t recommend meal prepping all of your meals your first week.
I am the type of person that likes to have an idea of what I am cooking for the week and meal prep my lunch for the next day or maybe a day of meals if I am traveling.
Keep it healthy,
