Ode to Kale

All the craze about kale is totally true. If you haven’t given kale chips a try then you’re missing out on some healthy snacking. Kale is seriously packed with nutrients and deliciousness.

At this very moment of writing this blog post {Ode to Kale} I am actually making kale chips. So, I thought I’d share my kale chip recipe and a poem. But first, a poem.

Ode to Kale

Kale, you make me smart
And you take care of my heart 

Kale, you’re so green
A dose of you makes me lean

Kale, you’re a great detox 
Which makes me a fit fox

Alright, that was totally cheesy and ridiculous. 

Jenn’s Kale Chip Recipe 

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Coat the bottom of a mixing bowl with olive oil and spices (sea salt & pepper is my go-to choice)
  • Add a handful of kale & add more olive oil and spices
    • You’ll want to get olive oil and most of the leaves
  • Massage the kale, olive oil and spices together
  • Spread out the kale on a cookie sheet
    • Top with lime or lemon juice for extra kick
  • Bake at 350 for 10 min
    • You’ll want to check on your kale often.. it burns easily
  • Enjoy!!!
