Lemon Juice Shots?

Lemons are packed with nutritional goodness! Lemon juice is great for your skin, hair and nails and it’s an immune booster {among many other awesome things listed below}. Have you ever thought about adding lemon juice to your routine?

You totally should! I like to surprise my body with different nutritional packed cleanses or detoxing regimens. If you’re wondering if the lemon juice will be tough on your teeth, don’t worry. Practice the ‘everything in moderation’ quote with this cleanse and other cleanses to protect your teeth and surprise your boy. It’s good to keep your body guessing and wondering what’s next. Will I do fasted cardio?  Will I have a lemon shot?  Will I have a hearty breakfast? These are all questions your body will ask.

One of the goals to sticking with this entire healthy lifestlye is to not have the same routine day in and day out. Add lemon juice shots to your routine for a week or so. It’s super easy… juice a handful of lemons (either using a juicer or old school juice press) until you have enough juice to last you some time. {Hint: You only need 1 tablespoon or so a day.} When you wake up {or any time in the day, really} add 1 tablespoon of lemon to a small cup of water {like a small coffee cup}, place in the microwave to warm it up a bit. Drink quickly and brush your teeth!

Here are few fun facts about lemon juice shots:

  • Aids digestion {to me, a really big benefit!}
  • Acts as a cleanse for your body
  • Good source of Vitamin C
  • Helps clear your skin
  • Packed with potassium
  • Can increase metabolism
  • & so much more!
